Why Is There a $100 Cancellation Fee?

Understanding the costs behind cancellation requests.

Updated over 2 months ago

What the Cancellation Fee Covers

When you initiate a treatment with Good Girl Rx, multiple steps occur immediately — even before your medication ships:

1. Provider Consultation A licensed physician reviews your intake, evaluates your medical history, and makes a clinical decision about your care. This is a professional service that requires time and expertise.

2. Prescription Processing Your prescription is prepared, verified, and transmitted to our pharmacy partner.

3. Pharmacy Preparation For compounded medications, the pharmacy begins preparing your specific medication. This includes pharmacist review, compounding, and quality verification.

4. Administrative Processing Payment processing, account setup, and coordination between providers, pharmacies, and logistics.

Why We Can't Waive the Fee

These costs are incurred the moment your treatment is approved — before shipping. The $100 cancellation fee covers a portion of these non-recoverable costs.

We understand cancellation fees are frustrating. We encourage you to:

  • Carefully consider your decision before completing your intake

  • Ask questions before enrolling if you're unsure

  • Review all pricing and policies at checkout

Exceptions

The cancellation fee may be waived or reduced in cases where:

  • Good Girl Rx made an error (charged wrong amount, wrong product, etc.)

  • Your provider determines you cannot safely use the medication after approval but before shipping

  • Other exceptional circumstances reviewed on a case-by-case basis
