Are Refunds Available?

Details when refunds are and are not available, how prescription medications are handled, what happens if treatment is not approved, and how to manage subscriptions in the patient portal.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

We completely understand that questions about refunds can come up, and we want to make sure everything is explained clearly and kindly. Our goal is to be as transparent as possible so there are no surprises along the way.

Below is a detailed explanation of how refunds work at Good Girl Rx, and what options are available depending on where you are in the process.

Prescription Medications (Very Important)

Prescription medications are non-refundable once processing begins.

Processing begins as soon as any of the following occurs:

  • Your medical intake is submitted

  • A licensed provider begins reviewing your chart

  • A prescription is approved and sent to the pharmacy

  • The pharmacy starts compounding, labeling, or preparing your medication

  • The order ships or enters transit

Once a prescription enters the clinical or pharmacy workflow, it cannot be canceled, returned, or refunded. This is not a Good Girl Rx policy choice—it is required by federal and state pharmacy regulations governing prescription medications.

For safety and compliance reasons:

  • Prescription medications cannot be resold or reused

  • Opened or unopened medications cannot be returned

  • Medications with patient-specific labels are final

Medical Review & Provider Fees

Your payment includes the cost of a licensed medical provider reviewing your information.

This includes:

  • Reviewing your medical intake and history

  • Making a clinical determination about eligibility

  • Chart documentation and compliance requirements

  • Secure provider messaging when applicable

Because these services begin immediately after checkout, medical review fees are non-refundable once the review starts, even if treatment is not approved.

If you are not approved

If a provider determines that treatment is not appropriate:

  • No medication will be shipped

  • Any temporary authorization placed on your card will automatically fall off

  • Timing of the authorization release depends on your bank (usually 3–7 business days)

Good Girl Rx does not hold or keep funds in this situation.

Subscription Charges

Subscription payments are non-refundable once the billing cycle begins.

That said, we want you to stay in control of your account.

You can pause or cancel anytime:

  1. Log into your patient portal:

  2. Navigate to Billing or Subscriptions

  3. Select Pause or Cancel

  4. Confirm your selection

Pausing or canceling will stop future charges, but does not retroactively refund charges that have already processed.

Shipping & Delivery

Once a medication has shipped:

  • The order cannot be refunded or returned

  • Shipping delays caused by carriers do not qualify for refunds

  • Medication is shipped in temperature-controlled packaging to ensure safety

Federal law prevents any alteration, relabeling, or return of prescription medications once shipped.

If you need to track your shipment:

  • Tracking details are available in your patient portal

  • Carrier updates may take 24–48 hours to appear

Changing or Canceling an Order

If you need to request a change:

  • Contact support as soon as possible

  • Once a provider or pharmacy begins processing, changes may no longer be possible

We will always do our best to help when timing allows, but we cannot guarantee changes once processing starts.

Refund Exceptions (Limited)

Refund exceptions are rare and reviewed individually.

They may be considered only if:

  • A charge was made in clear error

  • A technical issue occurred before medical review began

Exceptions are not guaranteed and must meet strict criteria.
